The former MP had been shortlisted for Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) position but his name was missing in the list presented to Parliament for appointment by the President on Thursday, March 16.

Kositany, who is the President's close ally, vied for Uasin Gishu's governor seat in the 2022 general election but lost to Jonathan Bii alias Koti Moja at UDA nomination stage.

President Ruto nominated 50 people to fill the positions of CAS following the recommendation of the Public Service Commission.
